Born in the German city of Mettmann in 1976, Patrick studied business engineering and began his career at Westdeutsche Einkaufskoordination GmbH in Düsseldorf. He switched to group purchasing at WestLB (today known as Portigon AG), where he led the purchasing management. From 2010 to 2012 he ran the Global Cost & Service Management department. A move to RADTKE & ASSOCIATES, Gesellschaft für Unternehmensberatung mbH, presented him with his first role as an independent corporate consultant.
In 2013, Patrick founded his own consultancy near Düsseldorf under the name of STÖHR FAKTOR, which has been trading as STÖHR FAKTOR Unternehmensberatung GmbH since mid 2015.
For more than 17 years, Patrick has held management positions at international financial services providers and corporate consultancies. He is also the author of various specialist publications. Together with BME (Germany's professional association for the supply chain and purchasing sector) and global consultancy McKinsey, he is a co-sponsor of the study Excellence in Purchasing – a Roadmap for Financial Services Providers (2012), and also authored the BME practice guidelines entitled Purchasing Facilities Management Services (2013). He is a popular and much-appreciated speaker at many national and international events.
